Proofreading and language editing
Proofreading is the final review of a completed text. If the material requires sentences to be restructured, its style to be unified or more substantial intervention in the way the content is presented, deeper editing may be needed.
I first review a representative passage and assess whether proofreading is sufficient or the text requires broader editing.
If broader editing is needed, I agree its scope separately.
