Which medical texts do you translate?
I translate medical articles from almost all the fields of medicine and pharmacy.
What is your main medical translation direction?
I most often translate from Polish into English.
Does your service cover pharmaceutical texts?
No. The service does not cover medicine leaflets or medical device documentation.
Do you interpret during medical appointments?
I do not provide interpreting during medical appointments.
What medical translation experience do you have?
I have 12 years of medical translation experience. I completed a one-year medical translation course in English with an examination and attended radiology lectures.
Is every translation reviewed by a physician?
Some of my translations have previously been reviewed by medical specialists. Such consultation is not an automatic part of a project.
Does translation guarantee that an article will be accepted?
No. A language service cannot guarantee publication. An editorial decision also depends on scientific merit, methodology and peer review.
How does proofreading differ from translation verification?
Proofreading is a monolingual review of a completed text. Verification compares the target text with its source and checks meaning, terminology and completeness.
Which languages do you proofread?
I proofread texts in Polish, English and Romanian.
In which directions do you verify translations?
I verify all six directions between Polish, English and Romanian: PL → EN, EN → PL, PL → RO, RO → PL, EN → RO and RO → EN.
What determines the price?
The price depends on length, language pair, field, source-text quality, deadline, format and the required scope of work.
Can you quote from a sample?
Yes, if the sample represents the complete material. A final quotation may require additional information about the full length and structure.
How should I share a document?
The website does not accept files. After initial contact, we will agree how to share the material.
In which format will I receive the text?
We agree the format before work begins, depending on the service and source material.
